Members of Farm Credit Mid-America, a $22 billion agricultural cooperative serving farmers, agribusinesses and rural residents in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee, have elected two incumbents, John Kuegel Jr. of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Donald Blankenship of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and one new member, Kaye Hurst Whitehead of Muncie, Indiana, to the association’s board of directors. Each will serve a four-year term.

“Our cooperative structure gives our members a voice in electing our Board of Directors,” said Andrew Wilson, Farm Credit Mid-America board chair, and a grain and livestock farmer from Somerset, Ohio. “Their engagement allows us to continue to partner to secure the future of rural communities and agriculture.”

Farm Credit Mid-America Directors are nominated by positions to be filled on a state-by-state basis within the association’s four-state territory, and are elected by Farm Credit Mid-America’s 80,000 voting customers. The board provides strategic oversight and direction to the association.

The members also vote on the nominating committee by state. The nominating committee selects board of directors and nominating committee candidates for the annual elections. Members of the 2017 nominating committee are as follows:

Indiana: Dan Arnholt, Columbus; Anthony (AJ) Booher, West Lafayette; Ray Kerkhof, Greenfield; Allen Mohler, Lebanon; Michael Starkey, Brownsburg.

Kentucky: Kenneth Anderson, Winchester; Chris Mitchell, Flemingsburg; Alice Maze Porter, Maysville; Aaron Tucker, Calhoun; Glenn Williams, London.

Tennessee: Paul Davis, Lascassas; Jason Luckey, Humboldt; Ben Moore, Dresden; Kyle Wills, Greeneville; John Woolfolk, Jackson.
