Louisville, Ky. (June 21, 2017) – Farm Credit Mid-America, a $22-billion financial services cooperative serving farmers, agribusinesses and rural residents in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee, received a Silver Anvil award from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), which recognizes outstanding strategic public relations planning and implementation.

Recognized for its innovative marketing approach, Farm Credit brought home the award for outstanding performance in the financial services component of the business-to-business marketing category. Its approach included the development of a content marketing program to make use of its wealth of expertise, improve customer experiences with the brand, and drive customers to action.

“The PRSA Silver Anvil awards are among the most prestigious in the industry, and a true measure of high-caliber work in marketing communications,” said Heather Vidourek, senior vice president of human capital, Farm Credit Mid-America. “It’s an honor to be acknowledged for work that makes a difference for our customers and in the communities where we live and work.”

Farm Credit’s program was punctuated by its inaugural Insights Conference, the launch of its Insights Resource Center, production of bi-monthly Insights Reports, and development of a series of young farmer profiles, among other components. Together, these served to provide actionable information to farmers to grow their businesses.

The Silver Anvil awards are presented annually and evaluate entries in four key areas: research, planning, execution and evaluation, while also considering factors such as creativity, ethics and budget. This is the first time Farm Credit has received a Silver Anvil.
