McConkey runs a diverse operation, raising beef cattle and running a muscadine vineyard with approximately 10 acres of fruit. In addition to his farming operation, he is an insurance agent with Athens Insurance and is a managing partner in a multi-family real estate portfolio. McConkey received his Bachelors Degree, majoring in Finance and Economics from Tennessee Wesleyan College and his MBA from the University of Tennessee. He is 42 years old.

Moore raises row crops, registered and commercial Angus cattle, freezer beef and hay on over 300 acres. He is also involved with his family’s 1,200 acre row crop operation. Moore is a facility manager for Nutrien Ag Solutions.  He has Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a minor in Ag Economics from the University of Tennessee. Moore is 39 years old.

Kuegel is the owner and manager of Old Lyddane Farms. The operation consists of 1000 acres of owned and rented land, raising corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa and grass hay. Kuegel is the third generation to operate the dairy, with a herd currently consisting of 30 cows and 140 heifers. Kuegel received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Kentucky. He is 53 years old.

Whitehead and her family run a family farming operation, raising corn, soybeans, wheat, hay and straw and contract grow pigs from weaning to finish. Her children are the 4th generation on the farm. She is responsible for the financial accounts, planting the soybeans and is very active in the day-to-day work in the hog operation. Whitehead received an Associate Degree in Science and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Kentucky. She is 66 years old.

Cox is a fourth generation farmer producing corn, soybeans, hay and timber. He focuses on stewardship and sustainability by incorporating the use of vertical tillage, no-till, cover crops and variable rate technology in the operation. He farms full-time. He is 55 years old.

Dick has been involved in farming his entire life. He is a beef cattle producer, backgrounds feeder cattle and raises a variety forages on 250 acres. Dick retired from the Pulaski County Fiscal Court after 27 years. He is 56 years old.
