An ongoing partnership to advance agricultural education across Indiana

As Indiana’s statewide community college system, Ivy Tech helps hundreds of thousands of students reach their goals. Ivy Tech’s highly specialized agricultural programs include hands-on field experience and partnerships with leading industry organizations. After receiving their two-year degrees in agribusiness management, crop production, livestock production or precision ag, some of these students continue their agricultural education at four-year institutions, such as Purdue University, while others go straight into the farm and ag workforce.

Farm Credit Mid-America partners with Ivy Tech to help ensure the next generation of farmers receives the education and support it needs. We have endowed scholarships at the seven campuses offering an agricultural track, and have made capital investments in classroom, lab and greenhouse spaces to improve the students’ learning experience. In fact, Farm Credit employees are regular guest speakers at Ivy Tech campuses sharing experiences in the areas of production management analysis, finance, credit and risk management. Ivy Tech is the start of a successful career in farming and agribusiness for hundreds of students, and we are honored to be with them right at the beginning.
