Laying the foundation for future leaders to contribute to our communities

For more than 100 years, 4-H has been helping youth throughout the United States reach their fullest potential. These young people not only develop skills as leaders, they solidify their values as citizens so they can become full contributors to their communities. The effect 4-H has had on rural America has been enormous, with 6.5 million active youth members in the U.S. and a track record of former members who are proven to be more active in their communities and reach higher levels of educational achievement.

Through our longstanding partnership with 4-H in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee, we are proud to help nurture these future leaders and lifelong citizens of our rural communities. Our investments in 4-H are focused on scholarships, leadership activities and conferences that strengthen not only individual members but the organization as a whole. We also support capital investments, including camp facilities, that will serve generations of young citizens to come.

The Farm Credit Mid-America connection to 4-H is deep and personal. More than half of our employees were members of 4-H, and half of those are still involved in 4-H, either as advisors or volunteer leaders.
